Crews tackle Bath house fire

Lympsham Green, Odd Down, Bath

Two fire engines from Bath Fire Station were called to deal with a fire in a house in the city.

On arrival crews found a blaze affecting the ground floor of the terraced property.

Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the house and tackled the fire using a high pressure hose reel.

A 59 year-old man was treated at the scene by ambulance crews for the effects of breathing in smoke. He was then taken to hospital.

It’s thought the fire started accidentally in the kitchen.
