Crews respond to café fire

George Street, Bath

Four fire engines and a turntable ladder were called to deal with a fire in a building used as a café with offices above.

When crews arrived on scene they found a fire on the ground floor of the four storey building. Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a high pressure hose reel to extinguish the fire. A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke.

Fortunately no one was hurt. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
