Crews deal with boiler fire

Church Road, Combe Down, Bath

Firefighters from Bath, Brislington and Radstock fire stations were called to deal with a fire in the kitchen area of a first floor flat.

When crews arrived they found the occupants already out of the property and unharmed.

Two firefighters in breathing apparatus used a high pressure hose reel and a 45mm jet to extinguish the fire. A fan was used to clear the smoke.

It’s thought the fire started accidentally after a fault with a boiler. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
