Unattended pan causes fire

Machin Gardens, Henbury

Crews from Southmead and Patchway fire stations were called to a kitchen fire after a pan was left unattended on a cooker.

The occupant was not in the property and the fire caused smoke damage.

Firefighters used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke from the building once they had gained access.

The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental.

Due to the time of the incident, crews returned the following day to deliver safety advice to neighbours.
