High Grove Hall, High Grove, Sea Mills, Bristol
A fire which broke out in the roof of a church extension badly damaged the roof and interior, but was prevented from spreading to the main building.
Crews worked quickly to remove and dampen down sections of the flat felt roof and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus (BA) entered the building to extinguish the fire using a high pressure hose reel.
A positive pressure ventilation (PPV) fan was brought in to disperse smoke logging of the main building.
The fire is thought to have started following work being carried out on the roof earlier in the day.
