Staff room fire at Congresbury hotel

Frost Hill, Congresbury

Crews responded to reports of a fire involving an extractor fan in a staff room in a buidling used as a hotel.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus used one high pressure hose reel and a CO2 extinguisher to tackle the fire. A ventilation fan was used to clear the building of smoke.

The building was evacuated but due to the weather guests were allowed back into the property.

The fire is believed to have started accidentally.
