Fire which started in bedroom spreads to roof of property

Trelissick Gardens, Weston-super-Mare

Three fire engines from Weston-super-Mare Fire Station, along with the turntable ladder and from Bedminster Fire Station extinguished a fire which started  in the first floor bedroom of a two storey house.

The entire first floor and roof space of the property was affected by the fire  and firefighters in breathing apparatus used hose reels and jets to extinguish the fire.

To tackle the fire in the roof of the property, the tiles were removed and the turntable ladder was used.

One the fire was extinguished, crews used a thermal imaging camera to ensure there were no hot spots within the property.

The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental.
