Salary: £35,229-£38,052 per annum

We have a temporary vacancy for an experienced Procurement Officer providing support to our Fleet & Technical Services Department. You will have overall responsibility for negotiating, managing and monitoring associated contracts.
You will be a subject matter expert and provide support and detailed specialist advice on all aspects of the procurement process to enable Managers to effectively manage contracts with suppliers. You will lead, co-ordinate and oversee formal regulated OJEU tenders, ensuring the diverse and complex procurement projects are appropriately planned and delivered. You will produce tender documentation for contracts, conduct analysis and evaluation and advise on the shortlisting and selection process. The role requires significant attention to detail and accuracy to ensure required documents are completed correctly and there is a robust audit trail to support the decision making process.
To be considered for this post you must be MCIPS qualified or possess an equivalent procurement/supplies degree. You will have significant experience of delivering complex procurement projects and the ability to interpret contract law and Public Contract Regulations. You must have experience of drafting business cases and contracts, evaluation, analysis along with project and contract management. It is essential that you can quickly establish working relationships with the Fleet Managers and support them to ensure these essential contracts meet the Service requirements. The role will involve some travel between sites and therefore a valid driving licence is required.

The role will also require you to work a number of days each week from our Avonmouth premises where the Fleet & Technical Services Department is based.
