Salary: Hay 10 (£18,870 - £20,541 per annum)

Avon Fire & Rescue Service has twenty two fire stations across the Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire area, and our Resource Planning Unit is responsible for ensuring those stations are sufficiently staffed to enable the Service to perform its statutory responsibilities, whilst also ensuring those staff have access to training, development, holidays and other leave. This is an interesting, varied and important job and you will have contact with staff from across the Service.
We are looking for a suitably qualified individual to join the Resource Planning team and help achieve the above objective. The successful applicant will record and analyse information, and deal with queries on the deployment, absence and availability of operational staff. You will also provide a wide range of administration support to the Unit’s customers to ensure driver training events are planned, co-ordinated and scheduled efficiently and effectively whilst meeting internal and external customer requirements; and monitor the driver training requirements of all staff.

Educated to GCSE Grade C or equivalent (including English Language) you will also need to be computer literate (Microsoft Office) and have sound general administrative experience.
This post is based at Police & Fire Headquarters which is a secure site and you will be required to undertake a security clearance process as part of our mandatory employment checks.
