Avon Fire and Rescue Service (AF&RS) are recruiting for an inspiring, credible and flexible candidate to join our 12 month internship programme as a Campaigns and Engagement
Co-ordinator. This internship will build upon your current skills and will provide you with the relevant practical industry experience you require.
Within this internship, you will have the opportunity to support and assist our Corporate Communications department in the delivery of their collaborative work with a variety of departments across the organisation including; Risk Reduction, HR and Inclusion & Diversity in delivering key organisational, behavioural and social objectives.
As part of your internship you will assist the Corporate Communications department in raising AF&RS profile and you will be responsible for communicating key information to members of the public, particularly within diverse and hard to reach communities.
This internship will use your skills and talents to deliver content for organisational and national campaigns, across a mix of channels including social media.
You will have responsibility for designing, co-ordinating and project managing AF&RS internal and external events which again are in line with organisational and nation, implementing new ideas and changes where you see fit.
We are looking for a pro-active, forward thinking candidate that is able to propose new ideas and improvements within the different channels of communication across the organisation, ensuring that all staff are provided with the opportunity to share their views enhancing the overall marketing of the services
Our ideal candidate will have a BTEC National Diploma (or equivalent) in a related subject however, If you have at least 3 GCSE passes at level 4 (Grade C) or equivalent (including English and Maths). Studying a marketing, communications or a business course with a marketing module with sound administrative experience and have experience of using social media content creation in a business capacity then this could be an opportunity for you.
