Woman conveyed to hospital following fire

Gee Moors, Kingswood

One woman in her 80s was conveyed to hospital for smoke inhalation following a kitchen fire in a residential property.

Crews from Kingswood and Temple fire stations attended the incident which started in the cooker hood.

A dry powder extinguisher had already been used and two firefighters in breathing apparatus used one CO2 extinguisher to tackle the remaining fire.

One male casualty was also treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.

The cause is thought to be accidental and firefighters remained on scene to provide safety advice to neighbouring properties.
