Combe Park, Bath
Five fire engines dealt with a fire involving a three storey house in Bath.
The Service received a series of 999 calls reporting the blaze.
Three resilience crews providing cover during a period of industrial action were sent to the incident.
They were later supported by two further crews from retained stations who voluntarily responded from picket lines to provide assistance.
The fire involved the first floor and roof of the property. Firefighters in breathing apparatus used hose reels and three 45mm jets to tackle the blaze.
Although the fire caused extensive damage to house in which it started, fire crews were successful in their efforts to prevent it from spreading into a neighbouring property.
The road was closed as crews tackled the fire.
Two adults in the house at the time of the fire were taken to hospital as a precaution after inhaling smoke.
