A fire has caused damage to the roof of a gym in Bath.
Four fire crews from Bath Fire Station were called in after the fire broke out in the two storey building. When crews arrived they found smoke and fire coming from the roof void of the building used as a commercial gym.
Crews in breathing apparatus tackled the fire using hose reels. A turntable ladder was also brought in to extinguish the fire from above.
Although damage was caused to the roof, firefighters prevented it from spreading further. The fire was extinguished by 18.30hrs when crews started to damp down. No one was injured.
It’s believed the fire started accidentally.
