Two rescued from kitchen fire

Hanover Court, Radstock

Crews from Bath, Radstock and Paulton fire stations were called to a fire in a ground floor flat.

On arrival, firefighters found a fire in the kitchen area and used three high pressure hose reels to extinguish the fire.

They also used two breathing apparatus for safety and a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke from the property.

A male and female were rescued from the property and treated for smoke inhalation on scene. A cat and a dog were also rescued from the property.

Ambulance crews were also in attendance and the cause is thought to be accidental.
