Crews called to fire in an outbuilding

Felton Grove, Bedminster Down

Two crews from Bedminster fire station were called to a fire in a detached single-storey outbuilding, measuring 7m x 5m, used for general storage.

Firefighters found the building was significantly damaged by the fire.

They used two high-pressure hose reels and small gear to extinguish the fire, before digging out and damping down the area.

Crews liaised with the electricity board to isolate electrics to the outbuilding.

The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental ignition caused by a tumble dryer.
