Crews called to laundrette fire

Mina Road, St Werburghs

Two crews from Temple and one from Southmead fire stations were called to a fire in a ground floor laundrette.

On arrival, two firefighters in breathing apparatus used one high pressure hose reel and one 45mm jet to extinguish the fire.

They also used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke from the property. One female casualty was rescued by crews and lead to safety.

The cause is thought to be accidental and crews remained in scene to provide fire safety advice to neighbouring properties.
