Crews mobilised to residential fire

Crews from Temple, Hicks Gate and Avonmouth fire stations were mobilised to reports of a residential fire.

On arrival, firefighters found a fire in a ground floor flat, also affecting the first floor flat of a two-storey building.

Firefighters used six breathing apparatus for safety.

Firefighters also used two 45mm jets, two high pressure hose reels, and postitive pressure attack (PPA) to tackle the blaze in the ground floor flat. Firefighters also used positive pressure ventilation (PPV) in the first floor flat.  

Firefighters rescued one female casualty before handing over to Ambulance crews.

Police were also in attendance.

The cause is unknown at this time.
