A man in his 40s has been treated for smoke inhalation after a fire in the flat below his property.
Crews were called to reports of a fire in a basement flat and on arrival found the man, his wife and child already out of their ground floor flat.
Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the basement flat and tackled the fire in the lounge area using two high pressure hose reels.
The man was treated at the scene by paramedics, but did not go to hospital.
