An elderly gentleman had to be cut out of his car by firefighters after his vehicle was in collision with a transit van.
When crews arrived on the scene they found the car had come to rest in a garden wall, following the collision at a crossroads.
Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove sections of the vehicle and the man was carried out on a spinal board.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance believed to be suffering from neck injuries.
