A horse has been rescued by firefighters after getting stuck on a large industrial pipeline near to a railway line.
When crews arrived they found the animal stuck on its belly on the pipe. It was unable to move.
Firefighters requested that the trains passing on the Severn Beach line be aware of the incident as they attempted to rescue the horse.
Crews attached a line to the animal and after a short time the horse was assisted from the pipeline back into the field. It was unharmed.
Firefighters then found some wood and debris in the field which they used to block the gap in the fence where the horse had got out of the field, to ensure it wouldn’t happen again.
It’s not clear who the horse belonged to but an owner was not in attendance.
