Three people have been taken to hospital for a precautionary check up after a fire at their home.
The woman, a six year-old boy and a three month-old baby, managed to escape the house along with two other occupants.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus dealt with the fire using a high pressure hose reel and a positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear the smoke.
It’s not known how the fire started, however it’s not thought to have been started deliberately. As there were no smoke alarms in the property crews will be returning to install the devices. They also fitted a number of alarms in homes nearby.
