Avon Fire & Rescue Service (AF&RS) is consulting with key stakeholders and members of the public on outline plans to build a new fire station at Hicks Gate near the Avon Ring Road.
It follows January’s announcement by AF&RS that it plans to build three new fire stations, a new Headquarters and carry out the major expansion of an existing fire station.
One of the proposals would see the closure of Brislington and Keynsham fire stations, with resources amalgamated at a new fire station in the Hicks Gate area.
On Thursday 13 March invited representatives from a wide range of organisations and interest groups will have the opportunity to provide their feedback on the plans for the new station. The meeting is being held at St. Peter's Church, Allison Road, Brislington. During the meeting representatives from Avon Fire & Rescue Service will be outling the proposals and inviting comments from the interested groups.
Members of the public can speak to representatives from AF&RS between 15.00hrs and 19.00hrs.
Details of the plans will also be available in Brislington Library, Wick Road, from Friday 14 March.
