Milton house fire destroys front room

Ashcombe Road, Milton, Weston-super-Mare

Firefighters attended a house fire on Ashcombe Road in Weston-super-Mare after several calls were received to report the incident.

When crews arrived the semi detached property made up of eight individual domestic dwellings was well alight.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus used three high pressure hose reels and a water jet to tackle the fire and was contained to the front room of the ground floor of the building.

The front room was extensively damaged and the property suffered smoke damage, as a result firefighters used a ventialtion fan to clear the property of smoke.

Seven people were evcauted from the property and there were no reports of any injuries.

Four crews attended the incident, two from Weston-super-Mare and RDS crews from Yatton and Clevedon.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
