Churchill Avenue, Clevedon
Crews were called to a fire in a building used as flats involving rubbish bins and a mobility scooter.
Firefighters in breathing apparatus used two high pressure hose reels and one covering jet to tackle the fire. A ventilation fan was also used to clear the building of smoke.
All persons were accounted for and one person was led to safety by fire crews. A 54 year old woman was conveyed to hospital suffering smoke inhalation.
Four RDS crews attended the incident from Clevedon, Nailsea and Yatton.
The fire is thought to have started accidentally.
