A woman had to be treated for smoke inhalation after fire broke out in her kitchen.
The 20-year old had tried to tackle the fire in a chip pan and was still inside the property when crews arrived on the scene.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish the fire and a positive pressure ventilation fan to disperse smoke logging of the property.
If you come across fire in your home, shut the door on the fire if it is safe to do so and leave the building.
Our advice is: ‘Get out, stay out, and call 999’.
