A horse has been rescued from a muddy water-filled ditch by firefighters.
When crews arrived on scene they found the male horse in a ditch, which was approximately eight feet deep, and unable to get out.
Firefighters placed strops around the animal and then using the Hiab arm on the rescue tender the horse was helped to walk out of the ditch.
A vet was in attendance but the animal did not need to be sedated. It was unharmed by the ordeal and able to walk freely
