Firefighters free woman from RTC

Road traffic collisionA woman in her 50s has been rescued by firefighters after a road traffic collision.

When crews arrived on the scene they found two vehicles involved – a Ford Focus and a Smart car.

The woman, who was in the Smart car, was complaining of back injuries so after assessment from paramedics firefighters freed the door of the vehicle and the woman was assisted out. She was taken to hospital but her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
