Firefighters have prevented a blaze involving an oil store from spreading to a nearby home.
Emergency crews were called after a fire broke out in a farm building used to house domestic heating oil tanks. Firefighters from Clevedon, Yatton and Avonmouth fire stations attended the scene where they worked for several hours to tackle the blaze involving the 8 metre x 5 metre brick structure.
The fire caused tanks to rupture leading to concerns that the burning fuel that escaped could set light to the nearby farm house. Using foam and water jets the firefighters worked quickly to bring the blaze under control, preventing it from causing serious damage to the home.
The cause of the fire was found to be accidental.
