A46 Tormarton, Marshfield
Firefighters have freed a man from his vehicle following a road traffic collision.
When crews arrived on the scene they found a Ford Fiesta and a Heavy Goods Vehicle involved. The driver of the HGV was already out of the vehicle and unharmed.
However, the driver of the Fiesta, a man in his 50s, was trapped and suffering from suspected neck injuries.
Firefighters quickly stabilised the vehicle and used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the roof of the car. Working alongside paramedics, they then assisted the man on to a spinal board and he was taken to hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
