Crews attend fire at plastics works

Patchway Trading Estate, Concorde Road, Patchway, Bristol

Firefighters were called following reports of a fire within a plastics warehouse and engineering works.

Fire appliances attended from a number of stations and once on scene found a relatively small fire contained within the building. Due to the nature of the substances involved the decision was taking to contain the fire to stop it spreading and let it burn out.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus carried out regular assessments throughout the evening and into the early hours to ensure the fire was reducing in size. Crews were eventually stood down just before 03.00hrs. The cause of the fire was accidental.
